Shot of our wonderful planet❤️
On board the DSCOVR satellite, about 1,529,000 km away, between the Earth and the Sun, there is a camera taking pictures of our planet every couple of hours.

"Venera-3" - automatic interplanetary station
It was launched on November 16, 1965 from Baikonur Cosmodrome.
On March 1, 1966, it reached Venera and "crashed" into its surface at -20° to +20° latitude and 60° to 80° east longitude. No data on Venera was transmitted by the station.
The "Venera-3 " station was the first spacecraft to reach the surface of another planet.

Earth in the Age of Archaea
The oldest stage of life on our planet.
It began about 4 billion years ago, when volcanoes were raging on the red-hot Earth and meteorites were constantly falling from outer space.

Saturn's satellite, Mimas
You can easily find that very Herschel crater. The crater itself was found in 1789, along with Mimas.
The diameter of the crater is almost a third of the diameter of Mimas itself, and is 135 kilometers. The height of the walls of the crater is about 5 kilometers, the greatest depth is 10 kilometers.

NASA is developing the concept of building an observatory on the Moon
And nowhere else than on its reverse side.
Developers say that the construction of such an observatory will qualitatively improve observational capabilities compared with similar facilities on Earth - the sensitivity available to such an observatory will make it possible to discern the formation processes of the first stars.
Thus, we can also explore the bowels of the Moon, develop detailed space weather forecasts, detect magnetic fields, and even detect lightning and storms on Neptune.

Schwarzschild radius.
The radius, to which a body must be compressed, so that light from it cannot escape into space.
For the Sun it is about 3 km, while for the Earth it is only 0.884 cm - the ball in the photo. If you compress the Sun and the Earth to these or smaller radii, its light will not escape.
The Schwarzschild radius can be calculated for any body. The smaller the mass of the body, the smaller the Schwarzschild radius.

What happens if you scream in space?
As soon as you open your mouth, the air in your lungs is instantly sucked out. You'll hear the air go out of your body instantly. That will be your last exhalation.
That's how dangerous this cosmic world is.
