Xenophilia: Salmon and Ravens

I have seen many individuals (My younger self included) be enamored with the art of the Haida and other Pacific Northwest Injun tribes. Especially in regards to the Raven and Salmon aspect of their culture, to the point they adopt it. Which to me is rather silly, we have our own raven and salmon lore libraries of it, no need to adopt foreign symbols we have our own. Both of these animals are sacred to us as much or more so then the PNW Injuns. The Salmon of Knowledge, the Ravens of Apollo, Othin, and the Morrigan. Loki as a Salmon god, etc. No need to feel guilty at finding them important or even spiritual, and no need to adopt Haida symbols or get Haida tattoos, we have our own symbols, lore, and meaning with these animals whether in Europe or America. The Rivers of Ireland or of the Northwoods of Paul Bunyan's Domain. Remember that Hyperboreans. The North is our home.

Banjo Playing Frogs

Banjo's are a staple of the American South (They are often attributed to African instruments..... you know all the famous African string instruments like ummm..... yeah that's bullshit) it is used in Cajun, Appalachian, Bluegrass, and even Dixie Music. It was invented likely by poor Southerners who could not afford professionally made instruments. Frogs are often depicted in folk art and folklore as playing the banjo (though it is a favorite instrument of many southern critters) likely due to the it sounding similar to their mating croaks. This innocuous imagery eventually made its way to the most famous American Frog. Kermit, the Frog of the Muppets who famously plays a Banjo in his swamp.
