It is no secret that Millennials and Gen Zers have investment philosophies that differ from Baby Boomers and Gen X. It seems, however, that the launch of spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds earlier this year, and later the addition of spot ether ETFs, helped bridge that gap. Thursday's release of the annual Schwab Asset Management ETF study zeroes in what investors are interested in over the next 12 months, and crypto is top of mind.

💰 Bitcoin dips below $61K despite Fed’s dovish stance

Bitcoin (BTC) continued trading in the red and fell below $61,000 despite the Federal Reserve’s dovish remarks in the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) minutes published on Oct. 9. The FOMC minutes revealed that a “substantial majority” of the participants supported a 50 basis point reduction in US interest rates this year, which would bring it down to a range of 4.75% to 5%.

💰 Bitfinex deemed ‘sole victim’ eligible for recovery of $7.4 billion Bitcoin hack

A new US government filing suggests that Bitfinex may be the sole entity eligible for restitution in connection with the 2016 hack that resulted in the theft of approximately 120,000 BTC. Bitfinex’s LEO token jumped 14% to $6.85 following the release of the documents.

🪙 Ethereum Liquid Staking Hits 14M ETH Milestone, Adding 1.77M in 2024

According to recent data, more than 14 million ether (ETH) is now locked in liquid staking derivatives (LSD) protocols. Over the past 12 days, the amount of ETH deposited into these platforms nudged upward by 0.643%, bringing the total to 14.08 million ETH.
