Microsoft is working on a major revamp to the Xbox controller. The information comes from slides shared with the court as part of the company's legal battle with the FTC. The leaked document features detailed plans of Microsoft's hardware division. The new controller is codenamed Sebile, and the most interesting thing about it is that it's going to follow the DualSense's lead in implementing haptic feedback. Like the PS5 controller, the next Xbox controller refresh will also feature VCA haptics (speakers), and an accelerometer.Microsoft is also planning to ship rechargeable (and swappable) batteries with the controller, which is a good idea, considering how taxing the new features are going to be on standard AA batteries. Outside of expected features, like an updated Bluetooth standard, Sebile will also include modular analogue sticks to improve longevity. As part of a big leak of documents from the FTC's case against Microsoft, it appears that the tech company might still be interested in acquiring Nintendo.

Back in 2021, it came to light that prior to the release of the first Xbox, about 20 years ago, Microsoft had apparently reached out to Nintendo to discuss potentially acquiring (https://www.vg247.com/microsoft-tried-to-buy-nintendo-ea-others) the console and game maker. Obviously, this didn't go well, with Nintendo outright laughing during the discussion. But in a leak today showing off an email sent by head of Xbox Phil Spencer in 2020, Microsoft is still interested in acquiring Nintendo.

In an internal email from Spencer to Microsoft's chief marketing officer Chris Caposella and executive vice president and commercial chief marketing officer Takeshi Numoto, the head of Xbox wrote, "Nintendo is THE [sic] prime asset for us in gaming and today gaming is our most likely path to consumer relevance. I've had numerous conversations with the LT of Nintendo about tighter collaboration and feel like if any US company would have a chance with Nintendo we are probably in the best position."

It might be your time to rejoice, Oblivion and Fallout 3 fans, as a big Microsoft leak appears to have confirmed remasters for the pair of games are on the way.

Today is not Microsoft's day, as a whole bunch of confidential details have emerged from some documents as part of the FTC's case against the tech company. For one, it's been revealed that Dishonored 3 is in the works (https://www.vg247.com/microsoft-leak-reveals-dishonored-3), and perhaps slightly surprisingly, a Ghostwire: Tokyo sequel (https://www.vg247.com/ghostwire-tokyo-6-million-players-sequel-leak) too. But the thing that Bethesda fans will most likely be interested in is that remasters of both The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Fallout 3 are in the works.

The leaked documents were shared on Resetera (https://www.resetera.com/threads/bethesda-title-release-schedule-leaked-fallout-3-remaster-doom-year-zero-dishonored-3-ghostwire-tokyo-2-etc.765923/), showing a list of games and the years they were expected to release in. It's important to note that the Oblivion remaster was apparently planned to have been released in 2022, but obviously that year has come and gone, and we're almost finished with 2023 without any kind of official announcement about it. There was a rumour earlier this year about a potential Oblivion remake (https://www.vg247.com/if-the-rumours-about-an-oblivion-remake-are-true-the-wait-for-es6-just-got-a-lot-easier) that Virtuos Games is apparently working on, but again, no confirmation on that just yet. Virtuos Games is a studio that predominantly co-develops games, and is currently assisting Konami on the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake (https://www.vg247.com/metal-gear-solid-3-remake-mgs-delta-snake-eater).

Ghostwire: Tokyo is apparently getting a sequel (and is definitely more popular than you thought)
