If you're mine, give me all of you,
Because if you don't, I fear I'll lose you,
Everything I've always admired about you,
Will be loved by someone else, too.

I carefully
crafted my heart
to nestle in the
curves of her palm,
but she rejected it.

She handed it back,
now a stranger,
until my chest,
once its home,
couldn't welcome
it back!

As parents, we naturally want the best for our children, and it's easy at times to see their success as an extension of our own hopes and dreams. But we must remember that we are stewards of their lives, not owners. God calls us to nurture His children, helping them reflect His glory and respond to His unique call for their lives.

As our children face milestones like exams and school results, it's normal to feel anxious. But instead of letting our emotions shape their experience, let us offer them love and support. Even if the results don’t meet our expectations, can we trust that God has a greater plan for them?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight." (Proverbs 3:5) Let us trust that no matter where their path leads, God’s blessings will follow, often in ways we never imagined. πŸ’™πŸ™

For the first time in my life,
I give up.
I give up on you,
and I give up on us.
I can't keep fighting for
people to stay,
only to lose myself every
time someone walks away.
I can't keep losing myself,
so I have to let go of you.
