"For anyone interested in the Führer’s early life, no visit to Vienna is complete without a visit to this place. Buried somewhere deep within this large apartment block at 31 Stumpergasse lies the small room shared by a teen-aged Hitler and “Gustl” Kubizek for eight months in 1908. Kubizek would write a good deal about this place in his excellent book, 'The Young Hitler I Knew.' The building is currently undergoing some ground floor renovation.
Gazing at the gray and white edifice from the sidewalk on the Stumpergasse made me wonder what Hitler’s apartment (No. 17) might look like today— and if the current resident there has any notion of just who its former occupant was." source: https://gab.com/Slenster/posts/112852343272963154

In 1945, Hermann Göring mentioned in an interview after surrendering to the Allies that he was confident that if the war had lasted a few more months that it might have had a different outcome. The wonder weapons, as fascinating and progressive as they were, could have turned the tide of the war. What could have turned the tide was more manpower and greater industrial output. These new “wonder weapons” came way too late during the last years of the war. Germany couldn’t keep up with Anglo-Saxon mass production, nor could they hold off the waves of humanity being hurled at them in the eastern sectors. Because of this reason, the Germans had to move all their factories underground and out of reach of the Allied bombs.
