Vacancy:
IP Counsel at LG Energy
Qualifications and skills:
• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Industrial Engineering or comparable qualification (knowledge in battery technology a plus)
• Admission as European and/or German Patent Attorney
• 2 to 6 years of law firm and/or in-house experience
• Ability to present complex technical and legal issues in an understandable and convincing manner in German and English
• Korean language skills would be an advantage, but are not required

Responsibilities:

Qualifications and skills:
• Technical or scientific degree (Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D.) highly desirable
• 5+ years of experience in IP/Legal in multiple jurisdictions
• Candidates with in-house or law firm experience welcome

Responsibilities:
• Manage the IP portfolio and assist with patent searching and identification

• Advise and support implementation of the IP strategy on a range of related IP/legal issues

• Help development team members set up and monitor patent publication alerts, both from patent offices and other service providers, as required
• Understand control points that have the potential to provide optimum IP protection to the Company’s technologies and innovations
• Communicate extensively with the internal team consisting of developers, architects, managers, as well as liaise effectively with external IP Counsel (and source agents, if necessary)
• Implement and enforce existing IP policies, propose changes to existing policies and support the development of new policies, as required
