WE WERE AT THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT EARLIER TODAY PURSUANT TO THE BAIL HEARING SLATED FOR TODAY.

WHEN THE MATTER WAS CALLED, THE DEFENCE COUNSEL INFORMED THE COURT THAT JUST YESTERDAY EVENING, THE EFCC SERVED THEM WITH A RESPONSE TO THE BAIL APPLICATION.

IN THE RESPONSE, THE EFCC RAISED ISSUES THAT REQUIRED VERY ROBUST REPLY TO ADEQUATELY DEAL WITH THE MATTER.

IN VIEW OF THE FACT THAT CONTINUATION OF HEARING IS SCHEDULED ON THIS MATTER FOR THE 22ND, THE DEFENCE ASKED THE COURT TO NOW TAKE THE BAIL APPLICATION MOTION ON THE 22ND ALONG WITH THE HEARING.

THE COURT GRANTED THE REQUEST BEING THAT THE DEFENCE WAS STILL WITHIN TIME.

CASE WAS CONSEQUENTLY ADJOURNED TO 22ND JANUARY FOR BAIL MOTION AND CONTINUATION OF HEARING.

For years man has sought to merge the virtues of the muffin-top and the cookie for the mythical breakfast cookie ... Behold!

Banana-Chocolate Muffin-Top Cookies

Dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl:
-3 c. flour
-tsp good salt
-500mg Niacin (one reg. dose of nicotinic acid, optional, but recommended)

Wet ingredients in a separate bowl:
-1 c. cold butter, sliced into pieces to process
- ½ cup cane sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 overripe bananas
- 2 tsp vanilla extract

Hand mixer works best to blend up - cold butter is difficult to work with but if the pieces end up ¼" bits you're fine. Mixture will be pretty viscous.

-add 2 eggs to the wet mixture, one at a time
-mix tsp baking soda dissolved in hot water

-add wet ingredients to the dry until it's all mixed
-mix in 2 cups chocolate chips

Mixture will be creamy but firm enough to hold form.

2 Tbsp batter/cookie, 2" separated on cookie sheet should give you 30-32 cookies.
Middle rack@350 til tops brown a bit like in photo.
