🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Last Secure Supply Route of the Ukrainian group in Avdeevka under Russian Fire Control

Situation as of the end of July 10, 2023

➡️Intense fighting continues on the Avdeevka sector. Yesterday, Ukrainian units attempted to occupy the forest strip north of Vodyane, but they were halted by artillery fire from the 1453rd Artillery Division of the Russian Armed Forces.

➡️Taking advantage of the Ukrainian forces' withdrawal and Russian troops' regrouping, Russian assault squads launched a counterattack. It is reported that as a result of a successful offensive, Russian forces seized an important foothold south of the village of Severnoye and advanced further towards the populated area.

❗️The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already attempted to attack and regain control, but the Russian troops repelled the assault. The northward advance allowed them to establish fire control over the road from Orlovka to Lastochkino, posing a threat to the supply of Avdeevka along that route.

🇸🇪🇹🇷 The leaders of Turkey and Sweden will meet on the eve of a NATO summit next week to try and unblock Stockholm's stalled membership bid, alliance head Jens Stoltenberg said Thursday.

The talks that will take place on Monday are a last-ditch attempt to convince Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to drop his objections after over a year of delays.

"It is absolutely possible to have a positive decision at the summit next week," Stoltenberg said after talks with Sweden and Turkey's foreign ministers at NATO's Brussels headquarters Thursday.

Finnish Companies Have Left Russia, To No Effect - President Niinisto

“As far as sanctions are concerned, not a single Finnish company is operating in Russia anymore," said Finnish President Sauli Niinistö.

"We are one of the few who did this. Unfortunately, this has not proved to be an effective tool,” he said.

The Finnish leader also added that other countries still continue to conduct trade and economic relations with Moscow.
